Increase intake of vitamins A, C, niacin, and garlic.

External Remedies

Agrimony (Agrimonia eupatoria) - In herbal steams and poultices as an anti-inflammatory for skin eruptions. It will draw out old ugly impurities that have defied other means of cure.

Burdock (Arctium lappa) - In herbal steams and poultices for surface blemishes and scaly skin. Affects both the oil and sweat glands. Extremely cleansing, antibiotic, antiseptic, antibacterial, and antifungal.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) - Apply ointment or cream, or dab undiluted tincture onto the pus-filled area twice a day.

Mix sufficient amount of calendula tincture with 1 level tsp of slippery elm powder to make a thick, smooth paste. Place on and around pimples, and bandage securely. Remove after one or two hours.

Chamomile (Chamomilla recutita - Matricaria) - In herbal steams and poultices to reduce puffiness, cleanse the pores of impurities and abscesses, and to strengthen and heal damaged tissues.

Clove (Eugenia carophyllata) - Dab 1 drop of clove essential oil on the pus-filled head of a pimple or spot twice a day.

Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) - In herbal steams and poultices to treat scarring and promote regeneration. Contains allantoin, a very efficacious cell-proliferant that helps repair damaged tissue.

Echinacea (Echinacea spp.) - Mix a sufficient amount of echinacea tincture with 1 level tsp of slippery elm powder to make a thick, smooth paste. Place on and around pimples, and bandage securely. Remove after one or two hours.

Garlic (Allium sativum) - Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub over acne twice a day.

Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) is antiseptic and antibacterial, and will also stimulate blood flow.

Infuse 1 tsp lavender flowers in 1 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes, strain and use as a skin wash twice a day.

Lemon (Citrus limon) - Dab pure lemon juice onto the pus-filled area, or dilute 1 tsp of lemon juice with 1 tbs of water and use as a skin wash twice a day.

Myrrh (Commiphora molmol) - Mix a sufficient amount of myrrh tincture with 1 level tsp of slippery elm powder to make a thick, smooth paste. Place on and around pimples, and bandage securely. Remove after one or two hours.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) - In herbal steams and poultices as an anti-inflammatory and astringent ... strengthens capillaries.

Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra) - Mix 1 level tsp of slippery elm powder with sufficient calendula, myrrh, or echinacea tincture to make a thick, smooth paste. Place on and around pimples, and bandage securely. Remove after one or two hours.

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) - Dab 1 drop of tea tree essential oil on the pus-filled head of a pimple or spot twice a day.

White Willow (Salix alba) - In herbal steams and poultices for inflammation. Contains salicylic acid.

Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) - In herbal steams and poultices for inflamed oily skin, swollen surfaces, and red veins on the nose and face. It is styptic, cleansing and astringent.

Internal Remedies

Burdock (Arctium lappa) - Make a decoction using 5 g of burdock root and 10 g of dandelion root with 750 ml (3 cups) of water. Divide into 2 doses and drink throughout the day. Extremely cleansing and detoxifying, it also helps to eliminate heavy metals.

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) - Make a decoction using 10 g of dandelion root and 5 g of burdock root with 750 ml (3 cups) of water. Divide into 2 doses and drink throughout the day. Synergist to burdock.

Echinacea (Echinacea spp.) - Take echinacea tablets or capsules, or make a decoction of 10 g of root to 750 ml (3 cups) of water and drink throughout the day.
